Why You Should be Using Social Media to Grow Your Real Estate Business
Did you know that it’s predicted that by the end of 2013 one out of every four people on the planet will be using social media? This statistic, according to eMarketer.com shows an 18% growth compared to last year. Here’s another interesting statistic for you, is the fact that Google+ and Twitter are both growing the most in the demographic of ages of 45-54 and 55-64, respectively (mediabistro.com).
So if you’ve been wondering if you should be using social media to promote your real estate business, then the answer is an enthusiastic “YES!”
Think about it…when you send out postcards, newsletters and brochures, your target audience is limited to the neighborhoods you target. But what about the person that lives out of state or out of country that wishes to buy in your neck of the woods? How will they know about you and why should they trust you?
Social media, on the other hand, has an unlimited reach AND, unlike mailing campaigns, you don’t have to pay to reach your audience (unless you want to – more on that in a later post). If you use social media the RIGHT way, it could expand your reach and get you more deals.
Don’t worry, we’ll help you along the way. This site is dedicated to helping real estate agents such as yourself navigate the ever-confusing social media super highway.
